PAVILION ADDITION
SLINGER HISTORICAL MUSEUM
BUILDING ON THE PAST
The Slinger Historical Museum is proud to announce the launch of its public capital campaign to fund a transformative pavilion addition that will enhance local history preservation, create community gathering spaces, and expand educational opportunities for generations to come.
“This project isn’t just about adding space—it’s about investing in Slinger’s future while honoring its past,” said President Tom Lehn. “With the pavilion, we’re creating a place where stories can be shared, families can gather, and history can be experienced in new and meaningful ways.” As one resident put it, the museum is “a walk through your life.”
The museum has set a fundraising goal of $850,000 for the project. Thanks to generous donors, grants, and early supporters, 80% of that goal has already been secured. The museum now turns to the public to help push the campaign over the finish line.
“This is where the community comes in,” added President Tom Lehn. “We’re so close to making this vision a reality, and every contribution—big or small—will help us cross that final stretch. Together, we can make history for Slinger.”

The community’s support is vital to making the Pavilion project a reality. We’re proud to share that we’re close to reaching our fundraising goal—now we just need a final push from the public to bring this vision to life. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us restore an important piece of our village’s history and create a space that can be enjoyed year-round. Together, we can preserve Slinger’s heritage and build something that will serve generations to come.

DONATE
The Schleisingerville to Slinger Historical Museum (SSHM) is a qualified IRC Section 501(c)(3) organization, which means that all donations are tax-deductible. We offer a variety of ways to support our museum and our ongoing capital campaign, each with unique benefits.
The most common method of giving is an outright cash donation, which provides immediate support to our mission. For donors interested in potential tax advantages, contributions of property, securities, or other marketable assets can offer significant benefits. Donations of long-term appreciated assets—such as real estate or stocks—may provide a three-fold tax advantage. Another option is a “qualified charitable distribution” from your IRA, where your IRA administrator sends a contribution directly to SSHM. This distribution can often count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year.
We encourage you to contact your tax advisor or financial consultant to understand which giving option may best fit your personal circumstances. Every gift, large or small, helps preserve and celebrate the history of our community. For more information for donations you can email history@slingermuseum.org or call 262-306-6101
